A countryside break
within a large relaxing space
The Old Tailor's, built in 1906 was called Smith and Hobbs, set right in the heart of the quintessential Cotswold village of Woodmancote. An area of outstanding natural beauty.
The original timber framed and corrugated iron building totalling 75 m2 has been recently sympathetically restored. The interior reveals a beautifully designed living space contrasting vintage industrial with contemporary modern design, producing a truly boutique experience.
The entire building is yours for your stay. You come in through a small porch where you can hang coats, into the main space which is double height with large A framed ceiling. This accommodates open plan living with fully equipped kitchen and dining area- everything you need to throw a dinner party- and a cosy nook at the far end with a large sofa and flat screen digital TV - a perfect place to drink coffee and read the papers.
In the kitchen area there is a fridge, electric oven and hob, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine. Farrow and Ball dark blue colour contrasts with the original short blasted wooden tongue and groove cladding that is a feature throughout.
As is the vintage and industrial design and fittings with accents of copper. The original wooden floor has been painted an off white.
The bedroom has a king size bed, Egyptian cotton beddings, the softest duvet and electric blanket. Mustard yellow linen blinds and seagrass flooring. A cozy room yet with ample space and quirky lighting.
The bathroom equipped with a fantastic copper shower. There is a heated towel rail too, loo and an original vintage basin.
Wifi is also fitted throughout the entire space.
